Beneath Sintra: Op.1 Overture

Amalia is somewhere deep beneath the ground: a hidden stage made of stone and lit by moonlight. The light filters through unseen clouds, silver rays disappearing in an empty orchestra pit. An endless empty audience stares back.

A hush runs through crowd. A wall of curtains flutter against layers of rock. Dark figures rush in the aisles. They chase Amalia. She is running, now, across the stage, pushing the curtains aside and rushing into the first scene.

She pushes past the curtains and finds herself in a forest. Her footsteps echo against the trunks and branches made of stone. Diamond leaves fall slowly through the air, marking their descent with trails of moonlight and crystal clear in the darkness.

From the shadows, a beast awaits Amalia.
